Satakshi Tiwari, a bright student of Class XI brought laurels to the school by entering her name in the Limca Book of Records. She is the first student who sky-dived from an aircraft with the help of a parachute, covering a distance of 4000 feet. The Principal, Mrs. Keran Bahadur congratulated satakshi on her highly commendable achievement and felicitated her. X-Country
A cross-country was organized at Colonel's Academy on 29th Sept 2013. Over 200 enthusiast children participated in it. They ran a stretch of 4 km, its starting point being Bercha Road. It was flagged off at 6.00 am by Brig Dinesh Sharma, VSM who was the chief guest. This event is conducted every year as a mark of respect on the birth anniversary of our founder father Late Col F.J. Bahadur since the past 15 years. The Principal Mrs. Keran Bahadur applauded the efforts of the participants and congratulated the winners. The event culminated with the school song followed by the national anthem. Vivekanand House emerged as the winners of the cross-country. Career counseling
Commodore Nathan visited Colonel's academy and counseled the students of Class IX to XI on Merchant Navy as a career option after class XII. He guided the student that they can join either the Technical or Executive line. He made the students aware of the history of Merchant Navy. Apart from being independent financially at a young age, students can draw an excellent pay-package. It provides opportunity to travel far and wide, fast growth and has career flexibility and security one learns to face rough weather conditions and inculcates a sense of responsibility or diligence to work. The cadets are trained at AEMA and an 18 month deck cadet at sea. The Principal, Mrs. Keran bahadur thanked commodore Nathan for his valuable guidance and counseling. The Pre-Primary wing of Colonel's Academy celebrated sports day in the School Premises. It was held in remembrance of the founder father Late Col F.J Bahadur. Children enthusiastically participated in the number of races like Hop Race, Banana Race, Lemon and spoon Race and Musical Chairs. It was a treat watching the tiny-tots. The Principal Mrs. Keran Bahadur congratulated the winners and motivate the students to excel in the field of the sports and live up to the expectations of Late Col F.J. Bahadur. Swami vivekananda's Birth Anniversary
“Brothers and sisters of America….. 120 years ago swami Vivekananda addressed a huge convention in Chicago on sep 11, 1893. To commemorate this occasion a special morning assembly was conducted in school on sep 11, 2013 Apart from the news and thought a saying of Swami Vivekanand, his speech was read our aloud. In this famous speech he spoke of his vision for an end to violence and fanaticism. His message of the 1800s is as timely and fitting in 2000s even now over 100 years ago. Students of the Primary wing dressed up as swami vivekannd, spoke his sayings. The principal told the students about the appropriateness of the speech in the current times and the need to follow his teachings. The assembly culminated with the National anthem. Kathak dance Smt. Gauri Diwakar enthralls Colonel's Academy
Smt. Gauri Diwakar, an eminent kathak dancer visited Colonel’s Academy under the aegis of SPIC MACAY. This was yet another feather in the cap for our school in the field of cultural progress under the able guidance of Mrs. Keran Bahadur. Smt Gauri Diwakar has received training in kathak from eminent gurus like Mr. Sumita choudhary, the legendary Pandit Birju Maharaj, Shri Kaikishan Maharaj and Ms. Aditi Mangaldas. She has performed in several prestigious festivals in India and abroad. Shri Rahul vishwakarma and Shri Induprakash provided accompaniment on the table and vocally. Smt. Gauri imparted certain important points to students regarding Kathak. The students displayed discipline and enthusiasm in being the enthralled audience. The Principal felicitated the esteemed guests and thanked them. Janamashtmi celebration
The tiny-tots of the pre primary wing of Colonel's Academy celebrated Rakshabandhan with lots of fun and joy. They came dressed in their traditional avatar. The girls tied rachis to the boys and put kumkum and rice on their forehead as well students got sweets in their Tiffin which they shared with each other happily. The teachers explained the importance of caring, sharing and brotherhood to the future generation who carry the responsibility of making the world a better place to live in students were inspired by the teachers to tie rachis to trees and plant saplings every year our Principal, Mrs. Keran Bahadur conveyed her best wishes to all the students on this occasion. Teacher's Day was celebrated at Colonel's Academy with great zeal and enthusiasm. Mrs. Ravinder Kalsi, Founder Principal of Guru Harkrishan Public School was the esteemed chief guest. The students performed on various classical and popular numbers. The Principal, Mrs. Keran Bahadur, felicitated the chief guest and thanked her she also thanked the teachers for their immense contribution towards the society. The celebration culminated with the lunch for the entire staff. 3D Planetarium Organised at School
It was a space day for colonel’s Academy where in Orange Planetarium organized a 3D dome which encapsulated entire universe which started from the birth of universe & explained the origin of living beings, matter & elements. The show was arranged according to senior & primary wing where cosmos universe were explored linking to the very detail of space activity. Description of sun the layers & importance of Nuclear fusion was demonstrated giving importance of energy in universe & the different phases of stars where they gradually emit radiation in space. The theory began by dots in Night sky some 8000 yrs ago developing towards modern physics including comets, supernova, pulsars etc. It also explained the different space programmes founded by space scientists of various countries focusing on laboratory, observatory & telescopes. The middle section understood the principles of classical space by Galileo’s work & its contribution in nomenclature. The programme was witnessed & appreciated by Principal Mrs. Keran Bahadur & Parents including eminent Citizens of Mhow. The show executive were Mr.Jagjit Singh, Mr. Maninder & Mr. Vedprakash.Green Day Celebration
The Pre-Primary wing held Green day celebrations in the school today. Teachers and children came to school dressed in green. Vegetables, fruits and objects of green colour were displayed. Children brought green objects and green-chutney sandwiches in their Tiffin’s. The importance of trees, plants and our environment was explained to the children by the teachers. Apart from all this, children were also thought a song on green colour. The celebrations culminated with a pledge to save our environment. Toddlers after Summer Break

On the occasion of Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti , Students organized a special prayer meet along with the enactment of a small skit in the School premises. Through the skit the students portrait the life of the eminent personality. Gudi Padwa
The Pre-Primary wing of School Celebrated Gudi Padwa the hindu New Year.On this occasion the tiny-tots ushered in the new year in their bright yellow attires. Vegetables fruits and objects of yellow colour were displayed. Students and teachers sang songs and played games enthralling teachers and guests alike. Students were made aware of the importance of gudi padwa and its relevance in the Hindu Mythology. Students welcomed the summer sesason and enjoyed themselves. On this occasion Mrs. Keran Bahadur, the principal, congratulated everyone and wished them luck for their future endeavours. Kindergarten "Graduates" at School
The tiny-tots of Pre-Primary participated and performed in their Graduation Ceremony held in the premises of Colonel’s Academy. The Guest of Honor was the Col. Dalmotra (Retd) who lighted the lamp to mark the beginning of the programme the tiny-tods of L.K.G. gave scintillating performance followed by the enthusiast and joyful children of U.K.G. who depicted their confusion mixed with joy on being initiated into the Primary level from the Pri-primary . Col Dalmotra presented a degree to each and every student of U.K.G. and congratulated them. The children were ecstatic with joy as it knew no bounds. The audience comprised of their proud parents and grand-parents. Our Principal Mrs. Keran Bahadur congratulated the students and their parents alike and wished them luck on their future endeavors. A workshop held in School
A workshop was held in School which was conducted by Mrs. Bryra Singh, an eminent scholar and avid reader. He was a Rhodes Scholar in Oxford and a fuldbright Scholar in yale. Presently he is serving as a consultant to the ETS. He shared his experiences as a teacher in his early years and focused on teaching as a noble profession. He emphasized on the need to see goodness in the students without being blind to their weakness. He also emphasized on the importance of passionate and committed teachers. In present times there is an intense need for the teachers to inculcate the habit of reading books apart from their curriculum now-a-days a teacher should be a facilitator. The Principal, Mrs. Keran Bahadur thanked Mr. Brijraj Singh fro sparing his valuable time and enlightening the teachers. Farewell to Class XIIThe outgoing class XII students of School were given a fond farewell by the eleventhies. The programme included various games and dances which were highly entertaining and fun-filled. All the students were given titles and a PPT was shown which showcased photographs of students who studied in the school from Nursery to Class XII This was highly appreciated by the entire audience. Admist all this aditi yadav was crowned as Miss’ C.A. and Buhranuddin Yusufi bagged the title of Mr. C.A. The Principal, Mrs. Keran Bahadur said a few words of encouragement to the outgoing class XII students and wished them luck for their future ventures. Musical Navratri Day Celebration
Living up to the traditions of School unlike every year this year also ‘Garba’ was organized in the school premises wherein the tiny tots were dressed in their beautiful tradition attire and were completely engrossed in the india-fever the teachers of the pre-primary wing made the kids aware of the importance of navratri. The evening in Colonel’s academy was also occupied with the senior students in their colorful traditional attire enjoying the dandia beats. The event turned out to be a super success. In the end, the principal of CA Mrs. Keran bahadur congratulated the head girl-Aarohi biyai and head boy- Murtaza Qamar on the success of the event and wished everyone a very happy navratri and dusshera. |
